Transnova follows transgender women as they share candid stories of childhood, identity, relationships, abuse and sex work, while also exploring love and attraction through the perspectives of the people who date them.
Transnova is an intimate documentary exploring identity, love, relationships, acceptance, and survival through the personal experiences of transgender women. Through candid conversations, the women reflect on their childhoods, family relationships, dating, abuse, discrimination, and experiences within sex work and escorting.
The film also expands the conversation beyond their individual experiences. Austin, a man who dates transgender women, offers his perspective on attraction, relationships, and the labels often placed on sexuality. Together, these stories reveal the complexity of navigating love, identity, and acceptance while challenging assumptions about transgender lives and the people who love them.
